What makes our Pilates courses different from other training providers out there?
With our Pilates courses, we feel its important that you understand the History of Joseph Pilates and experience his classical repertoire of exercises, however we also feel very passionate about moving you forward into this era of functionality and integrated training.
With this in mind our level 3 Pilates and Personal Training courses rely on recent research to ensure you receive the most up to date information on how to deliver a Pilates class or a PT session in a functional way that will create REAL measurable results for your clients.
We deliver these courses to a high standard with lots of quality face to face learning so you leave the course feeling clear, confident, knowledgeable and empowered to teach to your highest ability.
We at infitness training are in the business of creating awesome, confident and knowledgeable instructors through the delivery of inspiring courses and workshops. We fully believe that you will not be disappointed and have made it our policy to refund all of your money if after your first full day on the course, you decide its not for you.
We also run a very successful Pilates, Personal Training and Studio cycling Studio where we have spent a number of years working out how to market in a cost effective way but in a way that works! We share our golden nuggets with you to ensure you can experience those same successes!
Do I need to have any specific skills or qualifications to start?
It would be advantageous to have an interest in Pilates, not only as a participant but also as someone who feels passionate about teaching others this skill.
A formal qualification is not required as you will be taken though all the Anatomy and Physiology at level 3 as online learning to ensure you feel comfortable in the practical sessions with a deep understanding how the body functions.
To become a Personal Trainer you require the level 2 gym instructors course first and to complete the Studio Cycling course you will also need a level 2 qualification of Gym instruction or ETM.
Will I receive extra help if I am struggling?
The simple answer is YES. You will have a tutor on hand within the practical face to face sessions and a distant learning tutor on hand when you are away from the training department working individually. We can be contacted by email or phone and will respond within an hour during the hours of 9-7pm.
Am i too old to complete a Fitness course?
No really and truly you are not! Last year two individuals qualified with infitness training, one lady was 61 and the other 64. Both are very successfully running Pilates classes.
Will I struggle if English is not my first language?
We have set procedures in place to assist any one with additional learning challenges such as English not being a first language. We will identify this with you on application and work out the best route to help and support you through-out the course.
What happens if I do not pass my Theory exams?
Well this can happen but it is not to be viewed negatively as we will review the area,s that you struggled with and work out a plan to better understand. When you feel you are ready, we will rebook your Theory exam at a nominal fee of £50.00.
What happens if I do not pass my Practical assessment?
Hopefully this will not happen as we work very closely with everyone through-out the course to ensure they are totally competent and confident to pass their practical assessment. We believe in being honest with our learners, working constantly to enhance their capabilities and turn around their limitations. If some thing goes wrong on the day, then it is put down to experience. We support you through it and reset another practical assessment day where we believe you will shine through second time around. There is a nominal fee of £25.00 for this.
Where are the courses and workshops held?
Our main venue is at The Studio, 98 Staplegrove Road in Taunton, Somerset. A warm and the perfect place to practice Pilates.
How long will it take me to get my Certificate?
It is normally 6-8 weeks after you qualify that you will receive your official Active IQ Qualification, however you will receive a letter from Infitness Training on the assessment day to inform you of this decision if you are successful. This means you can show this to your employer or potential clients.
What is the register of exercise professionals?
Launched in 2002, REPs is an independent, public register which recognises the qualifications and expertise of health-enhancing exercise instructors in the UK. REPs provides a system of regulation for instructors and trainers to ensure that they meet the health and fitness industry’s agreed National Occupational Standards.
REPs provides assurance and confidence to the public and employers that all professionals on the Register are appropriately qualified and have the knowledge, competence and skills to perform their role effectively.
REPs was developed to protect the public from ‘cowboy trainers’ who do not hold appropriate qualifications. As well as protecting the public, REPs was also established to recognise the qualifications and skills of exercise professionals.
REPS keeps you on the register if you continually update your skills. We at infitness can help you keep up skilled by offering you further training or workshops, however you can update your knowledge with any organisation that delivers courses or workshops with continuing development points. (CDPS)
